Hi!
Sorry this is a day late, I tried to do this a few times yesterday and no matter what I used it just didn't work. This morning I thought of tin foil as a substitute for the cellophane traditionally used for this technique. I'm happy with how it turned out, it looks like a broken mirror.
I used a base of Essence I Love My Blue Jeans and stuck little bits of tin foil on while the polish was still wet. This was fiddly, but I do like the effect.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the other girls did for this challenge, this has definitely been the most difficult one for me so far.

Great job improvising with the tin foil! It does look like a broken mirror :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shattered glass nails!
ReplyDeleteOh they're pretty xx Siobhan
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use tin foil!!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! When I previously tried shattered glass nails, I had considered tin foil, but ended up doing something different. I love how it looks exactly like a broken mirror!
ReplyDeleteTin foil now there is an idea! I did this today actually but used nail polish painted on my uber mat and cut in to pieces. Not sure I would have the patience to do every nail with it like you did :P
ReplyDeleteNever would have thought of using tin foil. It does look like a shattered mirror. Great job!
ReplyDeleteIt seems real glass!
ReplyDeleteAha - great idea to use tin foil. I wouldn't have thought of that (I stamped because I didn't have any cellophane). Did it last well?
