Hi!
This week, our Twinsie Tuesday prompt was "Inspired by the Season". I thought about doing Autumnal leaves, but I decided to stick to the Halloween theme and try some Jack Skellington-inspired ones.
Unfortunately, I painted my nails arseways - I was supposed to paint them all white except the ring finger (black), but I did it the other way round. So I improvised and remembered the Jack nail from Sammy's latest Halloween nail art wheel - phew!
My stripes aren't perfect (especially on that middle nail, ew) but I have a couple of other polishes to swatch and we aren't really getting much daylight at the moment so I didn't get the chance to redo it. Everything looks so much worse on camera! It's not as noticeable in reality (I promise).
I used Rimmel White Hot Love and Black is Back then whacked a coat of Essie Matte About You on top. I used striping tape for the stripes and a dotting tool for Jack's face.
I can't wait to see what the others did! They put me to shame every week with their amazing skills, please do check out the links below to have a look at some great nail art.
Until next week! (wait for it.......it's either going to be epic or an epic fail........)

DeleteI love your inspiration and the way this came out :) Ya cameras aren't very forgiving especially with nail art haha... And I've definitely painted my nails the wrong base color before too!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a nuisance, isn't it? I had them all painted and dry when I though......how am I going to paint a white face on a white nail :D x
DeleteVery creepy for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa xx
DeletePhotos are such a pain - many times my nails look just perfect, but then in high res on a computer monitor, I am horrified! I've decided that "arm's length" is just fine!
ReplyDeleteIt's shocking, everything looks okay in reality and then when I sit down to edit it's like......uh-oh... :D x
DeleteI didn't even realize that the Jack face was inverted in color until you pointed it out! I immediately recognized him! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah, I'm delighted you could tell who he was! x
DeleteI'm super impressed with your stripes! There is no way I can manage this. Solid colours all the way for me :-)
