I just thought I'd pop up a quick post to show you what this photo tent looks like in reality - I got it here on eBay for just over €11. I ordered it in mid-January and it arrived on February 16th, really well packaged. There are lots of different sizes, here's a slightly bigger one from a seller in the UK.
It comes with a black carrier bag and four changes of background material. The piece at the front with the slot is for you to slip a camera through and use the flash inside the cube. If you'd prefer to light the cube from outside, you can use lamps and remove this piece from the front. I used the slot for the camera.
Here's the best picture I could get of this lip balm in the kitchen under normal lightbulbs at night:
And here's a picture using the cube with the white background and the camera slot with flash:
It's still not perfect but it's an awful lot better than the first photo. Hopefully as I play around with it a bit more I'll be able to find a proper space in the house where I can take photos at night - it would make blogging a hell of a lot easier!
Ohh I like the looks of this! The second photo is really lovely x
ReplyDeleteIt's still not as good as it would've been in daylight but I think it's a great tool for those dark nights when you HAVE to blog something there and then! x
DeleteInteresting! Definitely a difference in quality!
ReplyDeleteI need to play around with it a lot more and introduce some desk lights too - haven't got the room for studio lights here but I think this could work!
