Alas, not a post about Colin Firth performing to the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever.
I picked up a couple of Rimmel polishes towards the end of last year, including my first one from their Salon Pro range.
Oh, Mr Darcy! is a creamy beige colour reminiscent of Chanel Frenzy that promises a gel-like finish (which it delivers). It's a great staple nail colour, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone who likes neutrals or clean-looking nails. It's very work appropriate and can be jazzed up really easily with a topcoat. It's a very, very flattering colour.
When I saw "Disco Diva", one of the Glitter Bomb colours, I knew it would be the perfect match for Mr. Darcy.
Disco Diva is jam-packed with glitters of varying sizes, mainly in rose gold/pink tones. There's also some holographic microglitter in there that adds a hell of a lot of sparkle. It's very similar to GOSH Girls on Film.
I used it on the tips of my nails after two coats of Oh, Mr. Darcy!.
I love the combination of colours, it's a great way to ease from Winter glitters into brighter shades for Spring.
Rimmel Glitter Bomb polishes cost €5.49 each. Salon Pro polishes cost €6.49 each or you can get 2 for €10 in Boots at the moment.
LOVE this combination!! I feel like I need a nail polish with a name like that too. Such a sucker for nail polish names!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear god here's your sister, the amount of polish I have bought solely for it's name is ridiculous! Any hint of a pop culture reference at all and I'm sold! This is a gorgeous colour, though. I did pick it up before seeing the name, which is unusual! x
DeleteBoth of these are winners in my book.. luv the mani, this never works out on me and i end up painting the whole nail!! I'm constantly searching for "the perfect" nude... so will defo have to buy this :-)
ReplyDeleteAhh I used to do that all the time too, I would dab a bit of glitter on and think there wasn't enough! It's a lovely polish, I can't vouch for the claims of 10 days because I took it off after 3, but it has a lovely gel-like finish and the brush is great x
DeleteVery nice and elegant combination. The glitter polish is truly pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt really is, I love the rose gold xx
DeleteThey look great together! And I kinda like the idea of Colin Firth performing to the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever, someone should make that happen. :)
ReplyDeleteI know!! I can almost see it in my head. :)
DeleteLovely! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! x
DeleteHooray! I absolutely love this combo, so cheery.
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma! I've worn so many dark glitters in the past month, time to bring the nails back to life again! x
DeleteOooh so pretty! I was going to pick up Disco Diva but didn't as I feel like I have something similar. That is a nice neutral polish too
ReplyDeleteLove this, so pretty! I'm going to have to look out for Disco Diva!
