Swatched: Jessica Conch Shell

***Disclosure: Product provided free of charge. Opinions & review 100% mine!***

I have to confess, despite owning over 400 nail polishes, I have never tried one by the brand Jessica before. Mainly because they do a nifty line in gel polish, and I had no idea they also did regular polish. When I was given the opportunity to sample one, I was so grateful and I'm really glad I've gotten to try a brand I'd probably otherwise never have tried.

There are 6 shades in the 2014 Coral Symphony collection.

L-R: Monsoon Melon, Tropical Sunset, Starfish Glow, Conch Shell, Ocean Bloom, Sharktooth. The collection is inspired by the various blooms and corals found in the ocean. It's a really pretty palette, and should make the transition from a very dull Spring to a (hopefully) bright Summer a bit easier!

I was given the shade Conch Shell, which is a really pretty pink. All photographs show two coats, no topcoat.

The camera hated this - it's really, really bright pink. It's actually the closest I've been to a neon pink but without the pain in the bum application issues of a neon. The polish itself is a creme, and wouldn't look out of place on Barbie. If you're more of a Sindy girl, there's an amazing lilac polish in the collection that looks really gorgeous.

Jessica claims to be "the most fluid polish possible.....flows onto your nail without streaks or lines, then stretches while drying". Now I can't tell you if it's the most fluid polish possible, but I can tell you that I was a little dubious when I applied the first coat. It looked a little thick to me and I was sure it would streak, but it absolutely didn't. I didn't use a base coat or a top coat. There's UNREAL shine and fluidity in just two coats, and it dried quickly too.

Look at it outside - it screams Summer.

Longevity has never been an issue for me (that's what she said) but since the babies arrived, I don't have time to change my polish every day like I used to. Therefore, I'm usually sporting chipped or ratty polish for up to 2 weeks after swatching. I don't think that would be a major issue with Jessica - this next photo was taken 4 days after applying the polish (indoors, with flash, at night).

There's minor tipwear on some nails but they still look presentable and are every bit as glossy as the day I painted them.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with the formula and I'm delighted I had the chance to try the brand. I will definitely be purchasing the white polish from this collection, I can only hope the formula is the same as Conch Shell!

Jessica polish is available in salons nationwide or at www.frenchbeautyroom.com. The Coral Symphony line is also available in GELeration.

  1. Love the sound of this! Like a neon but without the hassle if application sounds like my cup of tea! Love that colour too! X

  2. That's a gorgeous shade I love all the colours in this collection, I've never tried Jessica either!
