Welcome to Day 8: Leopard Day.
I love the look of leopard print nails but I've never been too great at doing them. Last week I wanted to wear them to the zoo but I completely forgot that you had to dot a contrasting colour on for the spots and was wondering why the heck my leopard print looked suspiciously like black squiggles. Despite the sporadic downpours (the wettest day of the week, typical), I got some really nice pictures at the zoo, and this is the first time I've gotten to use one as nail inspiration. Here's the beautiful Snow Leopard.
For this look, I used the following polishes:
L-R: Essence Colour &Go 'Rich and Pretty', Essence 'Matt Top Coat', Catrice 'ASHley', Nicole by OPI 'It's All About The Glam', and Flormar '391' (I call it Coal Miner's Daughter. Just... because).
Two coats of 'ASHley', a few blobs of 'It's All About The Glam', with a couple of blobs of 'Rich and Pretty' and outlines done in '

Love the mani but love the animals more!! so freaking adorable!!x
ReplyDeleteThey were SO cute, even though it was wet and horrible they would put anyone in good humour :)x
DeleteI love that you made it matte! Gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It looked really weird glossy, I always forget I have matte topcoats, must use 'em more :)x
DeleteHave you tried using the teabag method to hold a split nail? It is so annoying when it is just one thats gone. I like the grey print nails, haven't done that myself in ages!
ReplyDeleteI was gonna try the teabag that evening and then I had to go do work outside and the whole flippin' thing just ripped, unsalvageable! It's a nuisance, gonna have to get some proper treatment for splitting nails.
DeleteThis is fab and great that you made it matte.
ReplyDeleteAwww, love the zoo pics! :)
Thanks P! Ah yeah they were lovely, it was hard deciding which ones to put up! x
DeleteLove the matte leopard! Very chic.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Matte just suited this :)
