I did my Easter nails early this year, because I'm going out at the weekend and I didn't want to go to an engagement party with pastel bunnies and eggs on my nails! When my little boy saw me heading off with bundles of polish bottles in my arms, he asked me if he could do the designs on them. We compromised - he'd draw them on paper and I'd paint them. Here's what he came up with:
And here's what I eventually ended up with (after being specifically told NOT to do the black one, because that was for Halloween...)
He was suitably impressed. After I removed that, I did this:
Which turned out like this:
Much better! I loved doing the multi-coloured polka dots to tie all the nails in together.
About four seconds before this photo was taken, poor Mr. Bunny had an accident. I was banging on about toast crumbs on the floor and was a little over-zealous with the dustpan.
RIP Bunny :(
Still, something else made me smile - when I went to get my notebook to do my shopping list (the levels of excitement in this house are shocking at times) - I saw the other little additions that the 7yo had made:
It's all about the little things, isn't it?
If you want any info about any of the polishes used, just shout.
