YSL Volupté Tint-in-Oil #06 Peach Me Love and #03 Undress Me

**One of these was a PR sample, I purchased the other one**

Hi!

Initially when I heard about lip oils I rolled my eyes. I mean we've had hair oils, body oils, face oils - we seem to have gone through so many new discoveries over the past couple of years (Argan, Moroccanoil, even the humble coconut) - but lip oil? Nope. Not something I ever thought I'd want to try.

Until - I saw these. Firstly, the packaging is stunning.

Look! Look at the little wands, they are the perfect shape for applying an oil to your lips. YSL couldn't have gotten it any more right if they had tried.

The shade on the left is #06, Peach Me Love. I bought this from the Brown Thomas website for €27 where it is inexplicably listed as Papa Don't Peach. To throw more confusion in here, I am not 100% sure what shade the one on the right is. Going by the swatches on CherrySue's post here, and the shade on the middle of the tube, it is most likely shade #03, Undress Me. It was sent to me, and when I opened the package, I left the box on the table and one of the babies grabbed it and chewed the top part that had the shade name on.

I'm so sorry about the next picture, I'm having awful lighting issues lately (they're called living in Ireland in February) but hopefully this will give you an idea about the texture of the tints.

Left - #06. Right - #03. I think.
My lips are incredibly dry at the minute (Nun's foo territory) but there's no sign of dryness with these. They're just gorgeous. The tint is suspended in a mix of four hydrating oils - (apricot kernel, coriander fruit, jojoba seed and passiflora edulis) and the formula is non-sticky. The tint lasts long after the oil is gone - I swatched these on my hand yesterday and there were traces of it for hours afterwards. They're not like a horrible, heavy gloss. They're really light and very comfortable on my lips.

LOVE THESE. They're just very, very, very nice.

    1. Sometimes I don't feel comfortable recommending expensive products because I know it sounds a bit much for a lip oil, but these are really lovely and well worth a splurge for a treat x

  3. Lovely! Do you find they look very similar IRL? My sales assistant told me that they settle differently on everyone, and the more I try other options, the more I realise that the difference isn't stark. I'm happy with just the one for now!

    1. It's not a huge difference, one seems to have a little more shimmer in it - the #03 was definitely paler on me and also was much more of a baby pink when I swatched it on my hand. The #06 peach one was darker on my hand but went kinda rosey on my lips - but I saw Karen's swatch of it today and it's a completely different colour on her, it's not that pink on me at all so I think they are very much individual!
