International Beauty Swap with two Samanthas!

Hi!

Due to a poor attempt at trying to organise a year's worth of photos on about 3 hours of sleep, I managed to hide several folders on myself about six weeks ago. There's a man somewhere in a nail art office doing a dance, but I have found my review pictures and it is on the way! I have a serious amount of stuff to get up here - I'm going to start with this one, it was a Beauty Swap organized in April by Samantha from She's Looking at the Stars.

I was matched with another Samantha, who blogs over at A Girl and her Soapbox. I can't even remember what I sent her at this point, I think it was some Catrice/Sleek bits & bobs and other little things I picked up along the way. We posted at pretty much the same time, and received our parcels within a few days of each other. The rules stated a maximum of £15/€17/$24, and it was a lot of fun to try and stick to that.

I was very excited to receive this box:

Pink bubble wrap! That excited me far more than was necessary. Inside, there were lovely treats:

EOS Honeysuckle lipbalm - I love this, I had previously owned the mint one and not found it very good until a friend with far more beauty knowledge than I told me that mint can be very drying on the lips. I'm not sure I'd ever have bought another one, so I was delighted to get this. I also got a NYC lip crayon and a Wet n Wild red lipstick.

There was a Maybelline colour show polish, a Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush (I've used this nearly every day since I got it, it's brilliant & so subtle), a Physicians Formula touch-up tool (a bit like a light-reflecting concealer) and a Wet n Wild palette - Comfort Zone. I don't have any Wet n Wild palettes so this was also a really welcome surprise!

Finally, there was a peel-off cucumber face mask (it's like the woman knows me - I have used this twice already and the picking was GLORIOUS) - and some coconut oil spray for hair which I really like too.

A little bit more about the Comfort Zone palette - if you don't have this, you need it. Seriously. I don't even know if it's available on stand in Ireland, but just take a look at it - I can't do swatches any justice at the minute because I've got a headcold and have the energy of a sloth, but have a look at the ever-reliable Christine's review on Temptalia. Beee-ay-youtiful. That definer on the right - it's stunning.

I loved what Samantha picked for me, and I was really delighted with the swap. Thanks so much to the two Samanthas, I would definitely participate in another International swap.

    1. I'm terrible for losing lip balms, at least the EOS ones are easy to spot in a drawer! x

    1. She picked such good stuff, I was so grateful! That palette is fab, pigmentation is excellent. Their single shadows are brilliant too!

  4. Eos lip balm is great but I have to agree that over use causes drying.
