Valentines Day Nail Art: I Choo-Choo-Choose You!

Hi!

I feel like I've been letting myself down lately on the nail art front - I haven't even attempted to do anything remotely interesting. Or at all. I promised myself that I'd do something for Valentines Day, and here was my first attempt:

Yuucccckkk!! I couldn't wait to get this off and get my thinking cap on. I wanted to do something non-traditional so I based it on what I think is the best Valentines Day card EVER:

I doodled a bit:

And remembered to actually GET my nail stuff out of the bedroom before the boys went to bed! I used Essie Lapis of Luxury and a combination of different polishes and acrylic paints to come up with this, topped off in between layers with Poshe topcoat, and outlined with a Sharpie.

I must have tried to write "Happy Valentines" on my thumb a good 10 times before I just gave up and did "My Valentine" instead.

I love it, it looks much better in real life and less like Ralph Wiggum actually did it himself.
