NOTD: Butter LONDON - Knees Up

Hi!

I was going to post my Thin Thursday update here, but I've a few bits I want to talk about so I'm working on a post and I'll have that at some stage over the weekend.

In the meantime, I want to drool over the sexiest red polish I've ever laid my eyes on.

Butter LONDON - Knees Up.

Butter LONDON aren't a band I'd be overly familiar with - I was browsing one of those Christmas Gift websites in mid-November and I came across some of their polishes. I had a discount code, so ordered three of them (Knees Up, All Hail the Queen, and Henley Regatta). I haven't had a chance to really use them until now, and I'm kicking myself for not wearing this over Christmas.

Incidentally - here's a shot of the polish with the little black cap removed, because I always thought the bottles had mad big caps with big brushes attached. Nope.

Knees Up is a fabulous metallic red polish, one I can only describe as vampy, sexy, glossy - it's Jessica Rabbit in polish form. It's the perfect Valentine's Day polish too - my husband has complimented me on it TWICE, which is unheard of in our house. Especially since he hates red polish with a fiery passion.

This ain't no ordinary red polish.

I could've cleaned that up better, couldn't I? No matter. This is two coats, inside, no flash. It's amazing. It's slightly darker in reality, I couldn't get the camera to cop on and photograph it properly (ironically, it's pretty much the same shade as the actual camera, so if you've got a red Panasonic Lumix 14mp you know what I'm talking about shade-wise).

Here's a quick one outside:

It's unbelievable in reality. This is one of those must-have reds that you really... eh... must have.

You can buy butter LONDON from www.beautymatters.ie or Littlewoods. If you're in the US (where Butter LONDON are based), you can order direct from www.butterlondon.com (they also ship to Canada & the UK).
