NOTD: Back to School!

Hey!

Today is the day that things finally go back to normal (ish). I packed our little boy off to Second Class this morning, complete with a uniform that made him look like Tom Hanks in Big (hey, Nana always said 'buy a size up') and squeaky clean new runners that will be missing parts by Christmas. It's also the day I get back out of my bad lazy Summer habits, I walked home this morning and I'm back on track with meal plans. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't throw out all my larger-sized clothes, because - well, I'd be left with pyjamas and I am NOT that girl.

Seeing as I didn't do an SNS post this weekend (I wanted the PCOS post to be the focus on Saturday), consider this your weekly tune. I mean I couldn't write a post title like that and not include this, could I?

One of my most favourite movies, EVER.

On to the mani - I've seen a lot of back to school manis, too many to mention (like Jenna and Mich) but take a look at any blog on my blogroll over there ---> and you'll see lots of very talented nail ladies (and a couple of gents), many of them have done some great back-to-school ones. Here are the polishes I used for my maths-inspired one:

L-R: Nicole by OPI It's All About the Glam, Catrice The Pinky & The Brain, Barry M Lemon Ice Cream, Essence Colour & Go Off to Miami!, Oh My Glitter, Absolutely Blue and I Love Bad Boys. I do like the new Essence Colour & Go bottles & brushes, it took me a while but I'm a fan. I have to say, I hope they bring some more exciting colours out soon, because there are an awful lot of pastels and not enough interesting glitters. I was gutted to find out that Blue Addicted (dupe for Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe) was discontinued, I think you dropped the ball on that one, Essence.

I used the nOPI as a base (three coats, no basecoat) and did the symbols with the others.

Possibly the only time apart from calculating discounts that I've enjoyed something related to maths.

Have a great Monday (if such a thing is possible),

  1. This is so cute, love it! I am so upset that Essence discontiued Blue Addicted, it's such an amazing polish. I will have to ration my tiny little bottle. Some of the new ones look quite nice though x
