Makeup Savvy 15 Day Nail Challenge Day 3: Chic

Hi!

This challenge is flying in, I can't believe it's Day 3 already. Today's theme is 'Chic' - which I'll admit, had me completely stumped. When I think of the word 'chic', I think Victoria Beckham, beige trenchcoats, Louboutins, oversized sunglasses, monogrammed luggage - but how the heck do I translate that onto a nail?

I don't. For this one, I'm going completely against the traditional definition of chic and took my inspiration from the hugely popular vintage shabby chic trend (extremely popular for weddings here at the minute).

I used two coats of Barry M 'Blueberry Ice Cream' as a base (need a new bottle badly, mine's gone really gloopy - has anyone got any recommendations for a similar blue polish in China Glaze or Catrice/Essence?) a cheap white nail art pen, fauxnad m80 plate, Essence Stamp me! white stamping polish, a no-name pink from a tiny french manicure set and my favourite eBay nail wheel.

I stamped the vintage floral design from the plate twice on each nail to form a kind of flowery circle, then added white dots and pink flower centres. I used two little pink bows for the accent nail. Please bear with me, my stamping is still a work in progress and is NOT perfect!

I have to say, I love this and I will definitely do it again, I can't stop looking at it!

Have you joined in with Day 3? Let me know!

S xx
