Saturday Night Song #10

Could it be? Could I actually have remembered a series long enough to reach NUMBER TEN??!! Well apparently so. The bang I got on the head last weekend must have worked wonders (wet floor + slippy sole boots + table + pain + google = a week of paranoia that I was going to die from internal bleeding. I didn't). Anyway, here's tonights SNS - another oldie, because that's just how I roll (actually, going by the episode last Sunday afternoon, I am apparently fantastic at rolling sideways into tables).

Tonights SNS is Highway to the Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins.

Now, who doesn't want to immediately go and watch Top Gun? I try to pretend that I'm not a Tom Cruise fan and that I have absolutely no interest in Suri's shoe collection, but ho-hum. Top Gun has always been one of my favourite movies, and one of my favourite soundtracks - I had the OST on tape, until my neighbour borrowed it and returned it to me with the ribbon all wrapped around it. Not impressed.

I chose this song because it's my favourite off the soundtrack, and I LOVE Kenny Loggins. I will admit, I used to think that Kenny Loggins and Kevin Bacon were the same person when I was little. They ain't. Here's Kenny:

While I'm on the subject of Kevin Bacon and Kenny Loggins, has anyone seen the new Footloose? Remakes have always been a pet hate of mine (see The Wicker Man, which led to a running joke between myself and a mate of shouting "the BEES! Dear god, not THE BEES!" every time we saw a bee. I think you had to be(e) there...). I won't be seeing the new one - there's only one Ren McCormack, and it isn't you, new boy.

So, there you have it. Tonight's SNS, and yet more proof of the six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Enjoy your weekend,

S xxx
